Summary
s 14(1): If the author was the first owner of copyright in a work (i.e. work not done in course of employment or "work-for-hire"), any assignment or grant of the copyright in that work terminates 25 years after the death of the author, and reverts to the author's estate. Exception: if author granted copyright in a will. s 14(2): This reversionary right does not apply to copyright in a collective work or works that were part of a collective work.
